Couture reinvention training at the TAMMAM Atelier Spring 2026

£1,500.00

Join the TAMMAM Atelier technicians for 5 days of in depth, hands on learning of the unique methods we have developed to construct, reinvent, repair and alter clothes to the highest couture and sustainability standards.

Dates for the training are TBC between April and June, and can be scheduled according to the first to sign up.

Timings are 10am - 4pm each day for five days.

Space is very limited.

This course is for skilled sewers only, you must have at least 4 - 5 years of sewing experience (a technical focussed degree or home or professional sewing) to take this course. We do not cover basics of machine or hand sewing so you must already have these skills to benefit from the learning offered.

We are happy to discuss concessionary rates for people on a low income or special circumstances - please get in touch with a little information and we will get back to you.

For this course you will - 

* Have a reminder of the basics of reinvention, repair and alteration

* Learn how to reinvent an old garment into something completely new, to a set brief for a client -  for this training it will be internationally renowned hair studio Sanrizz.

* Have an opportunity to ask our expert technicians for advice and tips

* Have time to work on reinvention under the supervision of skilled technicians

What you will need:

- Please bring any equipment you prefer to work with. Atelier TAMMAM is a fully equipped fashion studio so we will have everything you need for this workshop.

- A garment you would like to reinvent - this can be from your own wardrobe, a charity shop, a friend - anywhere. You must be willing for it to be completely taken apart and reworked into something new.

- A garment that needs repairing or altering - ideally from your own wardrobe. We also have some items in the studio if you don't have anything yourself, but you might like to use the opportunity for your own clothes.

There will be an opportunity to have a photoshoot with the finished garments, models and full hair and make up in the new year.

Tea and biscuits will be provided during the day. There will be a break for lunch.
