Alisa

Alisa married in Bermuda, but after trying on our Maria dress sample on a visit to London she knew it was the dress for her, it fit her perfectly, but also has adjustable laces, so we were confident in sending the gown for her big day. We created a stunning overskirt and bolero in silver French lace, hand stitched to perfection, with plenty of ease over the hips to ensure a flawless drape and set to Alisa's exact wait measurement (with a couple of spare loop fasteners for adjustability, just in case), as we weren't able to do a final fitting in person.

The stunning and brilliant Natalie O'Donnell landed the role of Donna in the Australian tour of Mamma Mia. While she was still based in the UK we created this bespoke gown for her Adelaide opening night in midnight blue peace silk, with swirl print linings and detail. The full skirt is detachable and reversible - adding wow factor for the red carpet with a sophisticated, easily re-wearable dress underneath.

Anouchka

Anouchka brought us this incredible antique, Edwardian dress, ravaged by a careless dry cleaning process. Neither of us was willing to let it go, so we set our petite mains to work, carefully salvaging as much of the original material as possible and cutting, folding and appliquéing any of the fabric that was too damaged to save onto new cloth. The dress had also seen some strange alterations in it's time, so we fixed them too, resulting in a fabulously wearable piece of history!

Rachel

Rachel

Rachel loved our bespoke laces and we wanted to incorporate some into her classic cocktail gown. We developed these detachable sleeves using our signature swirl pattern in peace silk on British tulle. The dress is a simple boned bodice, peace silk duchess satin gown.

Meg & Constance

Beautiful bridesmaid and flowergirl to the lovely Abbie had very exacting ideas of what their dresses should be like! Meg's dress uses British tulle and lace accessorised with a sophisticated blue organza sash. Constance had a little dress in complementary pale blue organic cotton with hand made pink peace silk roses.

Flores

Flores

Flores chose a simple bias cut organic sateen gown for her wedding day. We hand crafted a bespoke backwards bolero using her Mother's vintage wedding veil and antique glass buttons.
Flores said "Going through the whole process with you was so easy.... The dress and bolero, more than I could ever imagine. So beautiful.”

Joanna

Joanna

Joanna came to us just a few weeks before her, feminist, laid back, wedding! The shape of the Asp dress was perfect for her tall curvaceous figure. We added extra lace for modesty and paired it with a neck cuff in the same British lace. She hired the matching bag for the day, to finish the look.
“Everyone was thrilled by the dress & I felt fantastic and comfortable in it.”

Laura

Laura

When Laura first entered the Atelier, it was love at first sight, she knew that the couture Banana gown was the dress for her. Laura decided to hire the dress to reduce waste, in order that it could be loved and worn by other women for years to come. She did however want an heirloom item to keep, that could be passed on. We created a bespoke matching hand embroidered veil and bolero set using peace silk yarn. The banana dress is available to hire or can be made to order.

Helen

elLen

Steel blue and gold lace made Ellen's dress unique yet classically stylish. We created a full dress in silk organza based on our classic "Maria" gown. Ellen didn't want to have a strapless dress so we added subtle straps which allowed for less structure and a softer silhouette. The golden tunic was created using a beautiful French hand cut and hand appliquéd lace. We also created the golden belt to compliment the look, using vegan faux leather.

Sameera

Sameera

As soon as we met Sameera, we knew she would have a unique and incredible gown! Sameera asked us to created a wedding dress that she could wear again to balls and events. She fell in love with our Veronica gown and when we showed her the golden French lace everything came together. The lace on the bodice of her dress took weeks of careful hand appliqué to build layers of carefully placed lightweight structure.

Amy

Amy was sure she wanted a strapless dress and a removable bolero for her big day. Amy's very tall figure meant she could carry off a big skirt so we added extra pleats at the back to give volume. The dress was trimmed with almost 100 tiny fabric covered buttons along the centre back. We designed a backwards bolero for Amy in our hand embroidered flower lace, which also had buttons to continue the design.

Sian

Sian

Green Party candidate for London Mayor, Sian Berry, needed a suitable green dress to help her make London better for all of us at City Hall.

Lucinda

Lucinda

Lucinda came to the atelier not sure what kind of dress she wanted but knowing for certain she wanted to wear her grandmothers broach on the day. We used the simple crystal broach as an inspiration for Lucinda's bespoke lace design, creating a delicate lace that we would use to accent the gown's train and to be used for the removable bolero. After trying many styles and with advice from the atelier's experienced team Lucida decided the mermaid shape dress accentuated her curvaceous figure, and the gown was created in a pure silk duchess satin. The atelier also created a selection of off cut silk flowers on ribbon or pins for the ladies of the bridal party to wear as well as the groom's tie and matching burgundy pocket squares for the groom, best man and ushers.
“Beautiful dress made from beautiful material. Wish all my clothes could make me feel that good.”

Jossy & Cat

Jossy & Cat

Jossy and Cat gave us a great challenge; to create two dresses for one wedding, it was important to design complimentary dresses that were equally as beautiful when seen in a duo and individually, without looking the same - and for two very different body shapes. For Cat we produced a luxurious white dress with a striking full skirt and a halter necked boned bodice to emphasise her hour-glass figure. The look was completed with a hand-crafted lace bolero. While Jossy wore an off white halter neck dress with hand embroidered detail in the same design as Cat's bolero, waist trims were created for each of the dresses using the fabric from the other bride's dress. The looks were harmonious on the day and couple were ecstatic with the results. We also created gorgeous reception dresses for the civil partnership couple which, they tell us, they still wear to events.

Sophie

Sophie

As a women who often steps away from the conventional, Sophie was true to her character when she requested Tammam to produce her a dress that wasn't white. Tammam produced a glamorous red silk satin gown which gave a beautiful fluid drape emulating a Marilyn Monroe style. The plunging halter neck combined with a full train was perfect for Sophie's slender body type. We loved the dress so much that we simplified the pattern and created a white version of 'The Sophie Dress' to feature in our Couture Bridal collection.
“Thank you again for the beautiful dress and perfect colour.”

Vicki

Vicki

Vicki was the first bride we made a bespoke dress for without her even visiting the Atelier. As a resident of Australia, Vicki was not able to visit us in person however loved our dresses so much that she knew, despite the logistical difficulties, she had to have a Tammam gown. Not a label to let a problem such as location deter us and with a lot of help from Skype, we were able to guide her in how to take perfect measurements and work through the design together. We created a toile and sent it to her for her to try, it fit almost perfectly and we were able to go ahead with the final dress, which was couriered to her when complete.

Rachel

Rachel

Rachel had seen one of our evening gowns in a Grecian style with a wrap around belt feature which she wanted to translate into her wedding dress. She wanted a simple column gown so we used the same design for the main dress, converting the neckline into an asymmetric one shoulder style, as it was a look she felt comfortable in and suited her.

Jane

Jane

Jane was another of our eco aware and pro sustainability brides who wasn't just looking for a dress that was beautiful, but one that was fair trade as well. Jane found her perfect Tammam dress in one of our pop-up stores; the dress was then made to measure to fit her body size faultlessly and organza sleeves added to offer a modest look for her church wedding.
“The dress is beyond perfection, a work of art made ethically by true artists.”

Emannuella

Emannuella

Vicky

Vicky

Vicky's story is one that starts with her favourite evening dress, she brought it with her to her first fitting for us to use as an inspiration for her wedding gown. Vicky was looking for comfortable shapely dress without a corset. Fair Trade is close to Vicky's heart, she was eager to have an embroidery feature running up the front of the dress produced by our expert craftspeople in India.

Claire

Claire

Claire is another of our very ethical brides, she really wanted a dress that was totally fair trade, organic and gorgeous. We created a bespoke design to fit her curvaceous figure and designed an embroidery created by our wonderful artisans using symbols important to Claire. We accented the dress with a bright blue colour and made a complimenting light jacket with train to be worn in the church.
